The challenge
The pandemic removed the in-person channels through which Excellence Through Classics served teachers, students, and families. The need was immediate: create accessible, engaging Classics programming at national scale without an established online production system.
What I built
- Presenter recruitment, scheduling, and session curation
- A structured presenter intake process for biographies, descriptions, slides, handouts, supply lists, permissions, and agreements
- A repeatable Zoom production script covering introductions, recording, chat, Q&A, technical support, and closing procedures
- Promotion across website, email, and social media
- A transition from an almost-daily emergency schedule to a sustainable recurring series
Result
ETC Live became a durable national learning platform rather than a one-time crisis response. It connected scholars, authors, teachers, artists, and practitioners with a broad audience while preserving materials and recordings for continued educational use.
Evidence standard: The webinar script identifies Traci Dougherty as the creator of the webinars and documents the weekly preparation and production responsibilities.
